This weekend I was at my friend's house, and she has a lot of land so I decided to take some pictures of the river and other things. It was fun to walk around and take pictures of different views.

Portrait

For this assignment we learned how to frame pictures and have a back round. We had to take pictures of people with the sun/light contrasting their face in different ways. This assignment was really fun, I liked working with Matt and Jane.

School Context

For this assignment what we had to do was take a picture of the school and add different pictures in them. This was a cool assignment because it was interesting to see what weird things I could put in my photo. The christmas tree is really blurry because the internet wasn't working so I had to use the smaller image.

Animal

For this picture I took a picture of my dogs, Maggie and Sadie. I tried to get a clear and centered view of their face. i ended up getting the shot of Sadie laying on the ground. I think it's a cool view of her face.

Bike Assignment

Today we went outside to take pictures of Mr. Bush riding his bike. We worked with shutter speed and the aperture. Most of my pictures were blurry because something technical wasn't right, or if the pictures were clear they weren't centered. What I learned was how to take pictures of motion with the shutter speed. I knew this before but I feel that I have a better understanding of it.

Architecture

I wanted to capture the architecture of the building. I went around the school trying to find interesting and cool angles. I think I got a good view looking up into the design of the building.

Gimp Car Assignment

For this assignment we had to use GIMP. We had a picture of a car that we had to edit on GIMP. We learned many tools that were on the program. I learned how to darken the back round and the wind shield of car. I also learned how to add color in the photo by using the clone tool. Overall I enjoyed using GIMP for this assignment, and I want to use it in the future.
